Niacinamide + Ceramide Serum
8% NIACINAMIDE
Seen in photosDiffuse redness and congestion on cheeks (Images 2 and 3).
From the intakeOften stings and flushes (Q8).

Why this paceEvening only for the first week, so tolerance can be watched.
10 · Seal
Panthenol HA Gel
5% PANTHENOL

Held back from this plan

What was excluded, and why.

Two references were excluded and one is deferred. The reasoning is part of your reading, not a footnote.

02
Lactic Acid Cleanser 2%
Contraindicated by active barrier signs, meaning the stinging and redness.
09
Retinol + Peptide Serum
Deferred while the barrier is reactive.
03
Salicylic Acid Cleanser 2%
Added at the four-week review, but only if the barrier is stable and congestion persists.

Skin is more than a surface

The matrix your skin is built on.

Under the surface sits a mesh of collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and a lipid seal. This plan supplies stated-strength actives, in order, so the barrier the matrix sits under can hold. Topical first. Anything to take sits alongside.

01

Collagen

Strength. Built from glycine, proline and lysine.

02

Elastin

Recoil. Slow to turn over in adult skin.

03

Hyaluronic acid

Holds water in the matrix and at the surface.

04

Lipid seal

Ceramide, cholesterol and fatty acid at 3:1:1.

Safety essentials

Patch test first. Know what’s normal.

Patch test

  1. Apply a pea-sized amount to a 2 cm patch behind the ear or on the inner forearm.
  2. Leave it 24 hours without washing, then repeat the next day.
  3. Check at 24 and 48 hours for redness, itching, bumps or burning.
  4. If it stays comfortable, begin on the face at the plan’s pace.

Normal, and not

  • Expected early on: mild tingling for a few minutes, slight dryness or light flaking.
  • Not expected: stinging that lasts, tightness that doesn’t settle overnight, spreading redness.
  • If irritation appears, drop back to every third night and rebuild once calm for a week.

Stop and get help

  • Swelling of the lips, eyelids or face, or any difficulty breathing. Seek urgent medical care.
  • Blistering, weeping or a rash that spreads beyond where you applied it.
  • You become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or start trying to conceive. Contact your practitioner.
